Cookie Policy

Last updated: September, 2026

The short version

We use cookies — small text files stored on your device — to keep our site running, understand how it's used, and occasionally show you something relevant. Some are essential and always on. Others only activate if you say yes. You're in control, and you can change your mind anytime.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your browser when you visit a website. They help sites remember information about your visit so your next visit can be smoother, or so we can understand what's working.

The cookies we use

Essential Cookies

These keep the site functioning properly — page loading, security, basic navigation. They don't require consent because they're strictly necessary.

Analytics Cookies

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — which pages get visited, how people navigate, and where things could improve. This sets the following cookies:

  • _ga (2 years) — distinguishes unique users

  • ga[container-id] (2 years) — persists session state

  • _gid (24 hours) — distinguishes users and sessions

These only load after you consent.

Marketing Cookies

We may use Google Ads to measure the performance of search advertising campaigns — for example, understanding whether someone who clicked an ad went on to book a session or subscribe. This sets the following cookies:

  • _gcl_au (90 days) — links ad clicks to conversions across the site

  • _gcl_aw (90 days) — attributes a conversion to the ad that led to it

These only load after you consent, and only if we're actively running ad campaigns.

Social media links

Our site includes links to our Instagram, LinkedIn, and Substack pages. Clicking these takes you to those platforms directly — we don't embed their content or set any cookies through these links ourselves. Once you're on their site, their own cookie and privacy policies apply.

How long do cookies last?

Durations are listed above per cookie. As a general rule, we don't keep analytics or marketing cookies active longer than 13 months, in line with data protection best practice.

Managing your preferences

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via Cookie Settings. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how parts of the site function.

Third parties

Google may process data collected via these cookies according to its own privacy policy:

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our tools or legal requirements change. The date at the top will reflect the latest update.
